Owner comments: The ride in this Volvo is a true pleasure compared with many “wobbly” coaches I drove in the past. No wonder that thousands of truckers rely on Volvos for their daily job. Even at maximum load (54,000 lb - fully loaded for the trip, including car and all tanks full), we passed most trucks and RVs on the steepest inclines in a breeze. The iShift transmission, combined with cruise control and the automatic engine break system, allows you to comfortably go even downhill without much intervention. The Eco-Roll feature disengages the driveline when the engine is not needed to maintain vehicle speed, thereby saving diesel. This way, we achieved a fuel economy of 6 mpg even when fully loaded.
